We recently updated the current HailStorm with a new look. It includes our new upcoming 'Sub-Zero LCS' cooling system.
How do you think it looks?
You can see it on both our:

First, looks good the White on black makes it look exotic! If I had to pick I would have said the red would have been my first choice, but you know it still works.
Second, Sub Zero LCS? How does this compare to the Frostbite. Is it taking the temp truely down to sub-zero or is it cosmetic? Third, my computer hasn't hit Stage 5 yet, kinda surprising, should I be considering this. How far away are we talking on this LCS? |

Subzero LCS? Does its name imply something? What is the real difference between this and the Frostbite and how much more is it going to cost?

It's a much more expensive package. We will be replacing the ForstBite system with our new Sub-Zero LCS (Liquid Cooling System) soon.
Our customers can either take a value approach Asetek 120mm, or a mid-range 240mm Asetek, or a high-end Sub-Zero LCS approach for liquid cooling.
It's going to feature:
1. Clear fluid, and colored tubes. We are moving away from dyed fluid which has additional properties than just water which hamper the cooling effectiveness of the system.
2. Compression barb fittings. No more plastic hose clamps, we are now going to use high-grade metal compression fittings.
3. Top of the line CPU water block. We are going to be using the new Swiftech Apogee XT CPU water block.
4. Larger default radiator size. If you pick the HailStorm chassis, we will include a 360mm radiator, and for all other cases, it will be a 240mm radiator.
5. Bay mounted reservoir assembly, you can now maintain your liquid cooling system from the front of the case. You can look at the liquid level and add additional fluid easily.
6. Pump head upgrades by default. We will install the special head upgrades for the famous pumps to increase flow rates of the liquid inside the tubes.
No doubt, the FrostBite system is great! This one is simply going to be better and more expensive, an additional +$100-$200 on what FrostBite costs.

Hmm might just have to send the comp back in for the subzero upgrade when that comes out. I'll wait for I9 and Fermi and do it all at once :-)

360 rad as default is awesome imo.
What rads will be used on a dual loop system? EDIT: Does this mean no more UV?! D: Edited by MyNameisBrian - 09 Nov 2009 at 3:17am |

On a dual-loop, we'll most likely mount a massive radiator on the back exterior of the chassis. Yes, there will still be UV.

Alex, if we are waiting for our system now (5870s) can we upgrade to the new Sub-Zero CPU cooling? I've waited several weeks so a couple more will not hurt..they say anticipation is the best part..hope not
