New Laptop Suggestions

Budget: 2000-3000

Expectations:
Be able to utilize for the next 2.5-3+ years. Be able to utilize for work/school needs on the go as well as during travel for myself and my daughter when on plane rides (IE movies/interactive children games/Hearthstone/etc...) Nothing really high end on program side, I'll end up installing Microsoft Office, don't need/use Adobe products on it (have it on my DS Desktop), no video editing, etc...

Usage:
Sadly I'm only really going to be using it while attending class and during travel for both personal/work matters. I'm not much of a gamer anymore since I retired from professional Starcraft, and now I only casually play PC games at best (specifically Hearthstone only). If I feel the need or urge to even load Starcraft 2, I just get on my DS Desktop that I ordered back in 2010 thats still kicking and strong.

Special Needs:
No real special needs. Just dont want to end up with a flop like I would with a HP/Dell/etc... after a year or two that ends up dying on me or reduction in parts/performance.
