Hello all. First of all I wanted to thank those who were very helpful and supportive with my journey waiting for my PC. I have learned so much from you guys and will continue to learn more as I use my PC more.
So, on to my review on my new Lumos. I know people are about specs here so I will share my main components. I ordered the Intel i9 10850K CPU, RTX 3080 GPU, 32GB Ram, 850w PSU, and Asus prime z490-p MOBO, standard DS cooling system. I have to say the PC was a beauty and came in perfect condition when I received it. I did notice in my certification binder with the parts list, it showed the I had 16GB ram but I updated my RAM to 32GB. I double checked and it was actually 32GB as I ordered so no biggy. My only major concern is that the box it shipped in was cut open when I received it and didn’t notice it until I flipped my machine over to get out of the box. I will upload all pics of my PC below after the review along with this issue. It doesn’t seem like anything was stolen but seeing it being ready to be delivered and receiving it at the very last moment at evening made me a little skeptical so I’m hoping nothing was secretly stolen the I didn’t catch. Going on to day 2, everything still seems to be working perfect. My only concern is that the GPU temperature is around 45-55c on idle. Is that normal temp for GPU’s on idle? The fans are relatively quiet which I’m very pleased about. Also, it’s nothing too major but there was a chip which I believe is my RGB LED connector that looks like it was just slapped on a little sloppily in the back of the PC (will attach pics at the end). Also, I randomly notice a weird dripping noise from my radiator sometimes but don’t see any physical liquid seeping from it or the fans. I’m not sure if it’s normal but it doesn’t seem to be affecting my PC in any way. Can anyone confirm this please? So to summarize everything, I am loving my PC and DS did a solid job in making it look clean with cable management and the details in installing the GPU. I am thankful to everyone who was helpful during the journey and can’t wait to use my PC more. As promised, pics will be below :). This is my PC set up and close up photo https://imgur.com/a/Z0pYyu8 This is how I received the box from FedEx. I’m really hoping no one stole anything but it doesn’t seem so. https://imgur.com/a/7jegltt This is how the RGB led chip was attached. It seems to be attached with a sticky pad on the top and left loose dangling on the bottom. It’s not a huge deal but I wish they secured it better. https://imgur.com/a/8hkJHn2 |

Congratulations. The temps are fine for that card. By standard cooling system you mean the AIO and it is sealed so nothing to do but cool temps until it fails (years). Enjoy.

I don't see anything in the third photo. I just don't know what to look at. The lightstrips are just held in place by sticky stuff that comes on the strip. It can come loose in shipping especially in extreme temps. Feel free to re-fasten wherever it seems loose.
Definitely normal GPU temps.

That’s true but I don’t have anything to fasten it. It’ll be fine for now as long as it stays put. That’s great to know. The PCs been running great and I’ve been loving the heck out of it. Thanks for recommending the NVMe. Boot speeds feel amazing. Happy holidays!! |
