I'm about to buy an HP w2207 monitor to go with my soon to arrive new rig. I'd appreciate any comments, pro or con. Thanks for any help.

I just got the same 1, I love mine. Some people say they hate the glare, but i really don't notice it unless i am looking for it. I have not noticed any ghosting at all yet.

I got the next step up; the 2408 and I'm overall satisfied with it. I have noticed that my monitor at least has pretty poor vertical viewing angle so I suggest you take a look at that in an in-store display. Not sure if it's the same with the 2207s but pivoting the screen forces you to look at it from a specific angle, otherwise the colors wash out.

The glare isn't a problem for me either ('cept for a mirror behind me that reflects my room lighting.) I also noticed the strangest defect on the screen itself that can only be designed as a soft-white squiggle on the bottom of the screen, but it's not noticable. Other than that, the HP monitors are gorgeous.

Well, with the help of peoples input on these boards, I recently replaced my old 19 inch CRT with a Samsung SyncMaster 225bw.  I like it!

I can not wait to get my DSO system hooked up to this!  Woot, its going to be so beautiful!
