We just made an addition to our 'Noise Suppression' option by adding a 'Stage 1' option.

Customers can now select from either:

Noise Suppression Package Stage 1 (Optimized Airflow & Fan Speeds Only)

Noise Suppression Package Stage 2 (Optimized Airflow & Fan Speeds with Noise Dampening Material)

The difference is that you can now get a quiet system without the option or need of 'Noise Dampening Material' at a lower price of only $49 instead of $79.

are the fans just fitted with resistors or is that paying for a fan controller?

I doubt they would use resistors.. lol a molex has 12V 7V and 5V right there, takes less than 2 seconds to get a fan to use any of those voltages

They use usually resistors or the speed is controlled by setting up the BIOS fan speed settings.

The core point of the Stage 1 package is for someone that really wants to ensure they receive a quiet system without spending too much on noise cancellation materials or the need of a fan controller.

you use resistors? lol it would be much cheaper, and more bullet proof to just mod the 3 or pin connector.. I timed it myself, 3.7 seconds to do a 3 pin one.. Big%20Smile

Your a guru that's why!

However, we have a bunch of them so we're just putting them to use .

LOL, I think it is a great idea.. the thin noise suppression material seems to dampen some higher pitched sounds, but to get much noise reduction the only material that I have found is 2.5" thick.  and it has a limited amount of usage on most cases..
