Hi everybody, I’m planning ahead for when the gtx 1180 comes out. I was wondering what power supply would work. I currently have a 500 watt power supply and I hope to not have to buy a new one. Do you guys think that that will suffice. The 1180 is rumored to have about 170-200TDP and my pc can support a gtx 1080

A 500 watt psu is borderline for even a gtx 1080, most testers recommending a 600 watt minimum for 1080. The new 1180 is rumored to be about the same tdp as 1080, maybe another 20 on top of that.
Since you already have the 500 watt you could try it, but if you start getting crashes, blue screens, etc. then a new psu is needed. |

Thanks, I actually misread the configuration of my pc. I actually do have a 600 watt psu so it’s good to know that it will work
