New pc but... *FIXED*

Hello anyone who reads this, i ordered and received my new DS pc about 5 days ago and it is great. the build quality is tip top.|

I have only 1 issue.

My games are CONSTANTLY getting minimized.
My solutions i have tried include:

Re-installed drivers, are up to date.
checked display settings, made sure both are 1080p.
Refresh rate is at 60. (monitor can do 75)

Ran administrator mode, still minimized.
i'm at a loss for words here and slowly getting frustrated as i know this PC can handle ANYTHING i toss at it.

Is this a windows 11 bug? i thought of reverting to w10 but going to try everything else before i spend another $100 on 10
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

specs:
i5-12600k
asus prime -d4 wifi
hyperfury x RAM 16x2
coolermaster 360m AIO
asus rtx 3070.

everything seems to be connected and seated properly.

I've been around here awhile, and I haven't heard anyone with an issue like this. It seems it would almost have to be OS related to minimalize your games, but not shut them down.

Google is your friend. I looked for "Win minimizes my games while playing". Got this and more:

Note Win 10 has the same problem. My best guess is to try #3 Disable Game Mode first and see what happens.

Bottom line, it's a common problem with known fixes. Good luck!

Call me lucky i suppose, lol. I never heard or had this issue either until i switched PC and hooked my monitor up to my new PC (the one in the specs)

I went into settings and switched game mode to OFF. No luck.
I also thought, ok this most likely isn't the issue but i even re-downloaded drivers and such for my Razer keyboard, followed up with uninstalling the Razer snypase aps.

I even changed notification settings like google recommended as well. No luck.. So i'm now starting to worry that this might be a hardware issue? Bad GPU? I re-tried everything listed and more not listed and nothing is fixing the issue.

Thanks for the suggestions though, btw.

Sorry about the issue.

I have only seen this happen when using 2 monitors of very different resolutions. (a 1080 and 4K on the same card, the video was minimized on the 1080, never found out why, just removed the 1080 one and forgot about it)

Can you use another monitor?

Have you checked the monitor and NVIDIA settings?

I don't think it's a bad gpu since it's not artifacting and is putting out video but....

Currently only have my ACER nitro qg1 monitor atm. (i do have other 'TV' monitors though i can try)

I did end up going into the nvidia settings and re-applying the correct res just to try, still happened. Yeah, everything else works fine for video output etc. youtube etc. it's just the gaming that gives me the issue. So you're right it is likely not the gpu.

I have an old VGA monitor from my last system, so that one is a no go lol.

I'm getting to the point of just wiping this clean again and putting win 10 on it instead. But i just don't know now as i have never seen this happen. Not even with 2 monitors.

I run WIN10, but just for kicks, try this (may be different for WIN11).

Right-Click the game shortcut icon, select "Properties", then click the "Shortcut" tab. On the row that says "Run", check that you have "Normal Window" selected.

UPDATED*

After a few hours of tinkering and messing with things, i got in contact with Robert here at DS and he helped me get things figured out.

Turned out to be there infact was a driver update that i needed which was not showing up in the PC or anything. So after downloading Armoury crate and downloading the updates, everything seems to be working correctly still.

Thanks for all the responses to those who did.
thank you Digitalstorm staff and especially Robert for getting my dumbass learned. Lol

Thanks all! It's running like a beast! i love it.
Thermals have been impressing. Great quality build. Will definitely be a future return customer and will recommend DS to anyone wanting to get a PC for gaming or what be it.
