I see that there are new prebuilts for sale. I was originally planning to buy the gaming dominator, but the Extreme looks like you get more savings out of it, because I am not being charged for the liquid cooling? What did I lose + gain? I can notice the obvious $400 decrease, and the same 3.80Hz, despite the change from i7 950 to 920. Are there even differences between them if you overclock? I know its a lot of questions, but I am that type of person that is addicted to knowing more than I already do Ouch

oh and people say that i7 920 is same thing as 950 unless you keep it at factory clock...so since it's OC, that there is no difference

The 950 is +$300 or so, that is the majority of it.  I think the Gaming Dominator had a 295, so 2x275 is cheaper, though the performance is the same (or better if you have a high-res monitor).

There is no difference between a 950 @ 3.8 and a 920 @ 3.8, they will perform exactly the same.

Speaking of prebuilt systems, I guess getting a good deal on a system is all about timing...I just bought the "Power and Value" deal at the end of last month and now I see the back to school deals...for only $57 more I could have got an overclocked 920 to 3.8 GHZ rather than 3.33 and gotten 2 GTX 275's rather than one GTX 285...with everything else being identical from what I can tell.  I still think I got a good deal on my system, but DS would have easily gotten that extra $57 out of me if I knew the back to school deals were coming out so soon.  I sure would have loved the 2 GTX 275s lol.

biggmac101 keep in mind, there are customers behind you that will say the same thing you are saying about your system, things change, you still got a good system and if your res is under 1900 x 1200 you would have not use for the second 275 anyways

Yeah good point...I knew when I bought the system that a better system would come along sooner or later for the same price...I just didn't think it would be so soon.  But dont get me wrong, I dont feel ripped off or anything...I still love my system and think it was an incredible deal.

I know what you mean...I missed the updates by only a couple of days.  Had a little buyer regret also, but we have to make the decision sometime.

I got really lucky. I was going to buy the Best Bang for your Buck in the morning but had to run some errands. When I got back that afternoon, the new deals were up and I got one of them.
