Hi everyone,
it's the first time I ever posted on a forum like this, so pardon me if I forgot something.

So here it is, I bought a custom built pc from DS several years ago, and I tried to upgrade my ram recently, I've read about it on many sites, and I was pretty sure of my purchase, but it doesn't work and I can't find why exactly. So here we go.

My system specs :
Processor     Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40GHz   3.40 GHz
Installed RAM     8.00 GB (2x4g DS sticks, no further specs written on them)
System type     64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch     No pen or touch input is available for this display

My new stick of ram : 1x16g DDR4 2400 1.2v 2RX8 by Timetec

The problem : Just a complete black screen, nothing is happening

I don't know if it's my mistake or if it's the stick itself that is faulty, or even how to make sure if it's the case, so I hope someone will help me figure it out. Thank you guys, and have a nice day !

It's possible that the new 16GB RAM stick is not compatible with your system, or there may be an issue with the stick itself. Check your motherboard's compatibility with the RAM specifications and ensure it's properly seated. If it still doesn't work, test the new RAM stick in another system to confirm if it's functional.
