Hi everyone,
I finished customizing my gaming/multimedia computer and I'm just checking if everything looks good and if there are any concerns or suggestions. I was also wondering regarding the chassis (comes with 2 front panel fans, 1 back panel fan + I put the H100 in the build) if it would be a good idea to get more fans for better cooling since the chassis can hold many more (2 on the side panel, 1 on the bottom panel, and 2 behind the hard disk cages). If so, which panels and how can I add them to my DS order?

Hi Barbrady....Welcome to the forums.

You put together a great system to run games with that resolution.  I would however make a few changes.

Change case to the HafX.  We sound like broken records for those that follow, but the HafX case is the best for air cooled systems.  With it's front 230mm fan and top and side 200mm fan you'll get great airflow.  No need to add all the fans you mentioned.  The 120mm fans can add alot of noise to thecase.  The bigger fans turn slower which means less noise and they move a ton of air.  I understand lots go to the 550D for looks and promise of being quiet, but the case's primary function should be cooling.  And once you remove the 550D's top and side acoustic panels, the muffled quiet vanishes.

8Gb of ram is all gaming can use.  You'll never use the rest unless you do apps that require it.

No HDD?  The SSD is great for Win7 operating system and for games and apps you load frequently.  The HDD would be for data files, music, games used less often , etc.  You might be able to save some $$$ by using the 1TB Western Digital Black series as drive 2 and dropping the SSD to a smaller one.

The Killer card is a waste from all we've heard.

Drop oc the video cards.  Just puts undue stress on it for marginal gain.

The H100 is a great cooler, but if you want just as good, but more dependable, get the D14 or Phanteks air cooler.  Not much to go wrong witht a big block of cooling fins.

See what you think and good luckBig%20SmileBig%20Smile
