Here are my questions, I have a lot of spare computer parts and among them I have a gtx690 I thought about switching out and maybe using the 780 elsewhere but im a little concerned about heat and power does anyone know of any issues with the 690 in a bolt? Also I have a second 480gb neutron ssd side like to add to it, how complex is the HD to get too and replace for someone with good knowledge of PC's?

Hi zimron.... Congrats on the new Bolt. Lots of power in a small package.
The 690 won't work in the Bolt. Being a dual gpu card that dumps half the heat into the case is too much for the package. The 780 is a super card, so not much scarifice. The SSD mounts under the right side cover, next to motherboard. Its just simply taking off the clamshell-like cover and the bracket for 2nd drive is on top of original drive. Not a tool-less mount so a couple of small screws is needed like in the 'ole days. Best of luck. |

My pleasure. Stay safe.
A thought.... email DS and make sure they have a power and data sata connector hanging there for the added drive. I believe they do but you never know. Better than hunting through the wiring harness.
