I would like to keep my costs under $4000.

I want to be able to play games on high at 5760x1200 in 2D and 3D.

My current ticket is - 547160

I was wondering if everything would fit and if the cooling would be enough?

Is the power supply offered by corsair better than the DS one?

Also would 2 580s be enough to run 5760x1200 on high or would 3 be needed?

Thanks in advance Big%20Smile

Wow, that is one hell of a setup! The graphic cards, processor, etc (build in general) is exactly what you need to drive that high of a resolution (especially in 3D).

The chassis has great cooling properties, and bundled with the Noctua D14 this will be a cool running system.

The Corsair 1200W is a quality unit that does provide more clean power than the Digital Storm Certified series as it is a gold rated unit in efficiency.

Two GTX 580's will be able to push three displays, but, I'be seen certain games run around 30FPS in 3D with two GTX 580's. If you want to run 3D all the time, it stresses the cards twice as hard.

You don't really want to go Tri SLi with the p67 2600k build.. the PCI lanes are 8x/8x/4x.. if you want to go Tri SLi either go with a x58 build, or wait till Q4 of this year to see the new SB chips that will support most likely x16x16x8.

Change your SSD to a 320 series, Intel has put their reputation behind those, and are offering extended warranties up to 5 years (if I remember right). With your resolution 2 6970's with 2gb RAM per card will beat the 2 580's.

Like they said.  With the current SB you want to to go dual not tri.  Also, gaming at a resolution over 5k in 3D will probably get you worse then 30FPS, but im not sure on that.  It definitely stresses the cards.

@Rigby11, that is a horrible idea, you don't want tri sli in p67 platform, if you want proper tri sli ability, then you want to wait for the highend SB platform to comeout in Q4 of this year.

The config you have won't even work right and will not give you true tri sli performance.
