Hey Guys,
First time buyer. I've heard a lot of good things about Digital Storm so I decided to give them a shot. I've already pulled the trigger on my rig, and I just wanted to get some feedback. I'm thinking maybe I should have switched the cooling system since I've heard you have to pop the top off the Corsair 550D in order for the fan to operate correctly. Aside from that I'm just looking to get some general advice/feedback on my purchase. The rig is listed below, my main purpose for the machine is gaming/streaming. I'm also wondering if I will be able to run all of the new games at a high lvl. Thanks. Hi jzila... Welcome to the forums.
Congrats. You put together a strong and quiet gaming rig. The gtx 780 will give high to max gaming on a typical 24" monitor at 1920x1080 resolution. No worries with the top acoustic cover needing to be removed. Thats for the larger radiator of the Vortex 240 or H100i. The Vortex 120 will mount to the back wall and exit the heat out the back. The top can stay on. Don't forget the free t-shirt. call or email them to add it for free.
Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback bprat22!
I can't wait for it to get here, and I definitely hit them up about the t-shirt. |

If it is within your budget, I would suggest bumping the SSD to 256GB. That seems to be the sweet spot for most people. Other then that you may want to consider a Blu-ray for the optical drive, if you think you would want to use it.
Beyond those it looks like a very solid system. |

The wait for it to arrive is almost worse than paying for it.
Well, not quite but we would love to see a review and pics when you get it.

Hey jzila, congrats on the new rig and welcome!
The 550D is a really nice case. It's what I was originally going to use until my build got outta control!
danjw1 brings some valid points to the build and worth considering if you haven't already gone above your budget.
And as usual, don't forget to come back when you get your beast and share some pics and a review! Edited by fstcvc - 23 Jul 2013 at 8:13pm |

Looks great dude! Although, I am always an advocate of going bigger on SSDs though :D

Pictures are a requirement! Congrats on the new system. Everyone's suggestions are pretty valid, it can be changed later, but sometimes it's best to get it right from the start!
