Hi everyone with the 15% discount DS is having today i think its time for me to upgrade
. I am planing for this rig to be used mainly for gaming on 1920x1200 monitor with plans to upgrade to 2560x1600 monitor in the near future. I plan to go 570 sli I am wondering will it be enough to max out most if not all future games coming out. Ticket Number: 488410 |

I would change the PSU to 1k watt corsair if you plan on using SLI.....SLI 570 should be able to max out every game out now and in the near future....

You can't max out all the games, you won't even be able to play metro properly at 2560 x 1600 with tri sli, you can't maxed out gta4 if I remember correctly cause it needs more vram.
AT 1900 x 1200 again you won't max out games mentioned above and games like them, but can with many other games, point is that you can't max out all games. if you want good aa at 2560 x 1600 then you need to have a good amount of vram, so the 6970 might be a better idea at that res, at 1900 x 1200 570 single will give you what you need for most games, few games might need sli, like metro for example. Keep in mind going sli is not future proofing cause you can't use future dx12 and etc, and if future games need more vram, then you are not covered, best way to future proof is to get what you need now and save the money from the second gpu and then spend it on a future gpu that supports future requierments like dx12 or other versions, and future gpus will be more powerful, as is the 570 gtx to a 275 gtx for example, just fyi. Now as for your build: I like the haf x cause it will give you 4 x 200mm fans for great airflow, you got 3 x 180mm fans in the raven. change psu to 1000w corsair , it has its own 5 year warranty, vs the 2 year warranty the one you have now. The rest looks good to me, keep in mind oc over 3.9GHz won't do much for games, but it will for everything else. |
