recently got a new laptop from DS, its great, only issue is pretty low battery life. now, this is the first laptop i have ever owned, so i'm not sure what a normal battery life is. this thing seems to go dead in less than 4 hours, and i'm not talking like i am playing games non stop, this is just with basic browsing the interwebs. seems when we go to play a game on it we have to plug it in almost right away to get it to stop beeping and warning us of a low battery. here is the config of the laptop, could ya guys let me know what you would consider normal for the battery life?

That is excellent battery life, my work laptop an HP with 12 cell battery gets 3 and a half to 4 hours and it is not by any stretch a performance laptop. it is all extremely low power consumption components, decent but designed to get good battery life.
The fact you get about the same battery life is an excellent indication that you are doing very well. Dave ![]() |

My old Lenovo gets about 30mins without doing anything intensive. If I were to try to play a game though, those integrated graphics would kick into high gear and over-heat the damn thing before the battery could run out.
To say the least, you have amazing battery life in a laptop that is much more powerful than most people could even dream of having. |
