Hello guys,I'm getting ready to buy a system in the next few months and I really like your website. The only thing I found that could have been better would have been the ability to add a 4th harddrive in the configuation.Three was all that it would let me add. Also on pc cases that have an option for two PSU's like the Haf 932,having that option to add the second one would be great,as I would like to add another PC Power & Cooling 1200 watter to it.
Anyways, heres my ticket number for a reference 186506

As you can see this is a major system. But I have a few questions about it.The PCI-E Asus Xoner card will be replaced with the pci version that I currentlly have becouse that 4th PCI-E slot is in need of a Nvidia C1060 Tesla card.I Would love to add this to the configuration.
The motherboard supports 16 gigs of ram,but finding 4x4gig dims that are thin enough to fit is another issue.I would like the full 16gigs if possible.
Those few changes are all that I need to make it perfect for my needs. The three GTX 280 cards would have to be single slot water cooled editions of course.BFG would be my choice.
I do need to add a Killer M1 pci lan card.

Now I just have to convince Nvidia to release an adition to there drivers,(something like ntune),to take advantage of that Tesla card for physix and AI number crunching. Then I gotta convince Microsoft to add support for it in there upcoming Direct X 11.0 api.

Wish me luck...

I do have an idea for an airbrushed side pannel. It would be a cartoonish old Plymth Baricuda with fat smoking rear tires with Dawn in the drivers seat and Dusk riding shotgun then that other babe,(can't remember her name),sittin' in the back.A few Nvidia and other hardware used racing logos on the car,a sweet liquid looking type paintjob, some Tesla type electrical mechanics as a background and then over the top the systems logo in cool mechanical letting ,"Cuda Power!"

So tell me how does this sound for the ultimate system build? And will all these cards fit?

You know I was gonna get one but I'm waiting on getting one build with Nehalem.

but I have to say, this one looks like overkill

8GB of ram?

3 SSD drives? in raid 0?

2 Blu-Ray drives?

Vista Ultimate?

OC graphic cards?

External Storage: Corsair 32GB Flash Survivor Ultra Rugged USB 2.0 Drive?

can I ask what this PC will be used for with these specs? if you gonna say gaming, then its overkill.

as for HDD options, you can call DS and ask them to add a fourth drive for you

By the looks of it its for video/photo/heavy design editing + gaming on the side.

2 blue-ray drives... Approve

3 SSDs x 250 gigs raid 0? Sorry, but if what i assume this pc will be used for - thats nowhere near enough. Enough for a main OS/apps drive but not enough for storing your work, unless you have external set of HDs.

32 gigs flash drive? You can get them cheaper from newegg.

I would advise going with 4-year warranty if youre planning to purchase that.

PS: If this rig is strictly for gaming than theres no faults in it (cept' for price Big%20smile), aside from 8 gigs of ram which will limit your OC on CPUs to an extent.

Theres some software still in creation right now called Bababoom or something like that that is designed to use cuda for h.264 high def encoding and editing. Also Adobe and Nvida have just anounced a partnership kinda, using cuda as the driving force so to speak.I do lots of video and audio editing,as well as 3D rendering so theres the need for the power house.
Thats 2x250gig ssd's in raid 0 for the OS.The other two are simply a working area.I already have a NAS unit with two 1t drives .
On monitors I have one Hanns-G 28inch 3ms LCD and love it,but plan on getting two more to set up a panoramic desktop.
Ya the price is high, almost 20k total, defently to be financed.I thought I did add the 4th year warranty, oops.
Since yesterday I started thinking about that 2nd psu on the top.And was wondering just where the radiators for the water cooling system would go.
Does anyone know if there water cooling is chilled by peltzers? Or is it dependit on radiators and fans only?

as far as I know its radiator and fans but again its not water cooling, its liquid cooling

If it is for heavy editing, I don't understand why you need to oc 3 graphic cards? but its your pc ofcourse you do what you want.

@nomak if this rig was for gaiming it would be a waste of money since there is loads in there that has nothing to do with gaming

I don't know anybody with common sense that would not laugh at that if it was for gaming, bragging about wasting money is not braggins, its saying you are not so smart.

now if it was useful stuff that did make a difference then ya, thats bragging rights, but you can't brag about throwing money down the toilet thats stupid not something a smart person would praise

I can come here and say, hey everybody I have so much money I decided to flush 5 grand down the toilet.

now show me one person that thinks highly of me after that comment.

<insert your "nobody thinks highly of you now" jokes here />
