You may be correct. My current Aventum which is 3 years old has liquid cooling and the water storage column is down maybe 20%.

Emptying and refilling the Aventum will be a breeze with all of the quick disconnect fittings. DS has an excellent video showing how this is done.

Thanks. My system went from Stage 1 to Stage 2 in one day. I suspect that some of these parts are not in their standard inventory so it may take longer than normal in the inventory gathering phase.

Still at Stage 2 after 3+ weeks, hmm.

As an aside, when I had a job, I used to use Dragon Naturally Speaking to write documents, but I haven't used it for a while. My old headphone/microphone is in pretty bad shape, so I need to get a new one. Can anyone point me to a good mic at a moderate cost?

I am not at all convinced as to the accuracy of the reported Stage a build is at. When I ordered my last system from DS, I was surprised to get a call one day from a freight company saying they had a product for me that they wanted to deliver the next day and someone needed to be there to sign for it. It was my DS computer. However, it still had several stages to go thru according to their website reporting. Of course, DS might have improved their reporting protocol since then.

Now we are getting somewhere. I moved to Stage 4 today, so I decided to order the monitors that I will be using - Dell UltraSharp U2723QE 27".

I have been using dual 27" monitors for quite a while now. I plan to daisy chain them together using a Display Port connection to reduce clutter.

Here is my system once again:

Chassis Model: Aventum X

Motherboard: ASUS Pro WS TRX50-SAGE (Wi-Fi) (AMD TRX50) (Up to 4x PCI-E Devices) (DDR5)

System Memory: 128GB DDR5 4800MHz (ECC) (32GB x 4 Modules)

Power Supply: 1000W Digital Storm Performance Series (Semi-Modular) (80 Plus Gold)

Storage Set 1: 1x SSD M.2 (4TB Kingston Fury Renegade) (NVM Express)

Storage Set 2: 1x Storage (10TB Western Digital / Seagate - Ultrastar Data Center / IronWolf)

Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections)

Graphics Card(s): 1x GeForce RTX 4090 24GB (VR Ready)

Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio

Extreme Cooling: H20: HydroLux PRO: Exotic Custom Cooling System (1x Graphics Card + CPU)

HydroLux Tubing Style: Copper Tubing (Requires HydroLux PRO Custom Liquid Cooling System)

Start making the offerings to the shipping gods for a safe journey. And line up a friend or two to help carrying it.

That will be a beast!

Order some extra coolant for refills. You'll need it. The coolant level goes down with time.

The system is now at the final stage - 7. I would expect to get it sometime next week although it has a long way to go (CA to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan). I have more faith in things that are shipped commercial freight as it come on its own pallet. It must be scary for DS to ship their systems, especially cross country.

My son who is bigger than me (6'3") and will help me move it in position. He has a special interest in doing so as he will inherit my current Aventum system which is fully functional and my current dual monitors.

My new dual monitors arrive tomorrow - Dell U2723QE 27"

The freight carrier says my new computer will be delivered on February 15th which is 25 business days after it was ordered, which matches DS's estimated timeline. Couldn't be more pleased. I just hope nothing gets jiggled out of place in transit. I will post some pictures after I set it up.

I just got my PC. (see sig) It came via next day airmail. The package was in very good shape when I got it, surprisingly. System has been fine, only have one complaint about it, and that is the headphone jack on the front panel does not work, no matter what I use. The power button and the USB jacks work fine. Now since I have a G-510 keyboard, it has jacks for mic and headset, so I still use them.

Good Luck with your PC, hope everything is good with it. I chose next day air so it would not be in those couriers monkey's hands for long.

The computer didn't arrive as scheduled by the freight hauler but DS can't be blamed for delay. Apparently, there was bad weather in Sacramento last weekend. It is somewhere between CA and Illinois which is the jumping off for goods coming to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The bill of lading says there are two items with a total weight of 153 lbs. Can't imagine what item two since I only purchased the just the main box from DS. Hopefully next Monday.

153, WHAT? That is allot for just one tower. The shipping crate adds allot, but it should not be that much. Good Luck with you DS PC! I am enjoying the hell out of mine.

I was wrong on the est weight. It is actually 158 lbs. The pallet probably weights at least 35 lbs. Fortunately my son can help me lift it on my desk. Still in limbo somewhere between CA and Illinois.

My Hailstorm II weights in at 79 pounds. A skid does not bring the weight up to 158 pounds. I used to be a semi truck driver so I know about the weights of pallets. Your PC should be coming in a crate as well if I am not mistaken. My Hailstorm II did.

Not obvious from the picture above is the weight. It truly is quite heavy. I had my son help me lift it onto the desk that I put it on, so you are right, no one is going to find it easy to steal. It was delivered on an 18-wheel semi after 2 weeks of travel and stopping at 6 freight terminals along the way. A part of the travel time was caused by the bad weather in CA. I was worried about the travel time and bouncing around those truck terminals.

Alas, it worked perfectly when we set it up and has been doing so for the last two weeks. My problem is the usual problem when you get a new computer – getting all of the setting suitable to my liking and installing software that I use often (Quicken, Photoshop components, etc.) Previously I used Windows 10 as my operating system. Now I use Windows 11. I have yet to try it on a game.

I noticed you have it powered on with no peripherals connected to it. Whoa Any reason?

After you put the liquid cooling solution in the computer, they recommend you turn the computer on to work the fluid thru the system. The fluid in the storage tube has come down another inch and a half so I will add more solution soon.
