Hello, I'm ********* owner with two rigs. And now it's time for me to switch to different brand. My friends recommended to this. Last pc gaming rig I brought was in 2016. I noticed there's lot of improved specs to the day. I want to have your opinion on my custom spec. I know you might think 10 TB is a lot. I have lot, lot, and lot of pictures and videos of my travels in Europe and doing lot of projects.

Howdy and welcome to DS! There are some configuration gurus hanging about who will be along shortly to critique your build. They're usually willing to chime in to tell you the good and the not-so-good. They'll all be customers of DS and know the products really well.
Digital Storm has a policy, though, of not naming competitor's on these forums. It's done as a professional courtesy between the builders. So, I had to remove your mention. Secondarily, once you place your order with DS, and your email address from the forum's matches exactly with the one you used for the order, you will be sporting the Verified Customer badge like all the cool kids. ![]() Again, welcome to DS! It's gonna be great. |

I'm curious why you're getting 64 GB of memory. That'll be way too much for gaming. Do you plan on using some pro apps?

I think you're probably good. You know what all that RAM and all that extra processing power is good for, and that it won't do anything for your gaming, but certainly help with your projects and huge image handling.
There are two suggestions I think have merit. I think you should upgrade to one of the 850W power supplies. The 750W is good enough for your build as is, but may limit you for future upgrades, particularly in the GPU. The 3060 ti is a great card, and the next step up to a 4060ti is not worth the money. But you may find you want more graphic power perhaps both for gaming and better results for your imaging projects somewhere long before the rest of this beast is ready to retire. In that case you don't want to find you need more power. The second is to recommend you consider the Noctua NH D-15 air only CPU cooler. It is a magnificent performer that will give you performance quite as good as the liquid cooling rig, but will last longer, never leak nor fail completely. If a fan breaks down, you replace the fan. If the all-in-one liquid cooler fails, you have to replace the whole thing. That's it. Completely optional, but good ideas in my opinion. ![]() Edited by Cretae - 11 Aug 2023 at 9:42pm |

I would agree whole-heartedly with my friend Cretae... Always good to get a little more headroom in the PSU if you're going to "beast" out your system. Also, the Noctua NH d-15 is just damn sexy!

Welcome to DS. ![]() The Noctua NH D-15 is a cpu cooler. You only have one of them. You can special order Noctua fans for the case but not really necessary. Enjoy! |

Thank you! One last question, how many are Cooler Master MasterFan Halo (RGB Fans) fans in? It doesn't mention numbers of fans in Lumos. I was told there's six?
