New to DS

Hello. I placed my order last week for an x17. I am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. I feel like a kid again a week or two before Christmas. This forum seems so alive with helpful advice and knowledgeable members and staff. I feel privileged to now be a part of this elite community.

Any advice or information regarding this (or similar builds) would be greatly appreciated.
My main concern would be hoping that the Enduro issues are ironed out by the time I receive my unit.

I'm not up on laptops but this rig is gonna Rock.    The Enduro issue is real but low impact from what I've read, plus a promised fix in a month or so hopefully fixes it.

Let us know what you think of it when it arrives.   And pics would be real nice.

Thanks. I am hard pressed to find a post in this forum about people really complaining about the Enduro issue. I am hoping that means that when DS sets it up, it is a minimal issue and that the remainder of that problem will be taken care of with the upcoming drivers. Is there now a way to disable Enduro on the x17 yet?

The Enduro "issue" is real and has been acknowledged by AMD. They will be releasing a "hotfix" sometime towards the end of October. It is a hotfix, not a driver release (12.9 driver does not address Enduro)

Your laptop is going to rock! I have a very similar x17 and I've been extremely happy with it. I know that you'll be happy with yours when it arrives.

I haven't noticed any issue with my 7970m, although I've read that a lot of Clevo owners have, I'm not sure whether I just haven't noticed the problem or the games I play work correctly.

Like Bobby said, I wouldn't worry about it.

That setup looks pretty sweet, if you can post some pictures and a review when it arrives.

Plan on posting pictures and putting up a review when I get a chance. Though I am working in Oklahoma atm and the computer will be shipped to my house in Texas. Either I will travel home to get it, or have my wife ship it to me at the Hotel. May wait til I get home to do a review though as Hotel internet can be sketchy and do not want it to hinder the performance of the unit while I am testing it out.

Sounds like a trip home to Texas is a priority.
