Budget:
$1600-$1900 Usage and Specifications: Hey guys, I was wondering if somebody would be willing to help me out. I want to get into more PC Gaming and Gaming desktops but I dont know too much about what builds or anything would be best. I came down to 2 builds Im most interested in. The Lumos "Best" option for $1797 and the Velox "Best" option for $1971. I would greatly appreciate feedback on which would be the best option. Id like to play anything from the top competitive games out to also games like GTA V, Skyrim and etc at their best. Also maybe streaming down the line to also editing and etc. Again I would appreciate the help thank you. |

The difference in price between the two build, assuming the Best with Intel 8th generation 8700 cpu, is the case itself. One is the Corsair 570 case, the Lumos, and the Velox is a custom in house design. With identical components you’ll get identical performance. They both offer great airflow. Also, the Lumos has a left facing window and the Velox a right facing window. It might be important depending on your desk setup.
If you’ll be running High end gaming on a 1080p monitor then I would definitely change the default graphics card to a gtx 1070 or gtx 1080. For your budget, the Vanquish level 4 is the best bang for your buck. It has an excellent cpu and strong graphics card. To configure the Lumos or Velox with similar performance would mean $2500 plus. Hope this helps. Edited by bprat22 - 26 Jul 2018 at 6:54am |
