Hello. I'm new here. I have never built a DS system before. I may be going overboard a tad with this build, but that's just because I can. I'm hoping it'll last me at least 6 years and I want the best I can get for my budget. I'm also adding a 20TB secondary mechanical drive, but that's just because I have cerebral palsy and adding my current drive to the new hardware would be a pain.
I notice that DS does not offer any chassis fan options, other than RGB. My question is this, are 4 120mm fans enough if my pc is in a computer desk that has the front and back open and ventilation on the top? I'm seeing a lot of people on here recommend the Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black. Would that be better in this config than liquid cooling?

Some of us, and I can't say 'all', prefer the Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black to ALL liquid cooling. But it will always end up a personal choice.
I'm not a liquid cooled fan at all. I don't think liquids and electricity belong in the same box. As my brother, the avionics technician (fighter jets), used to say: Once you let the magic smoke out, you can't put it back. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Ok. That's good to know. Any opinion on the chassis fans?
