Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. Lately, I've been wanting to buy a new desktop for mainly playing WoW. I don't need much media stuff or anything like that. However, I have no idea what kind of specs I need to run WoW at high/ultra settings with decent framerate. By decent, i mean like 50-60 in normal/slight crowded areas(old cities), and like 40-50 in crowded areas such as Dalaran(more like 25-40 fps here =P) or 25-man raids. I don't know how much money this would cost, but seeing as I'm a young teen, an affordable ($1000-2000) solution is much prefered. I've researched everywhere, but can't find good answers. Also, I'm pretty sure WoW doesn't support SLI, so please keep that mind.

Thanks in Advance,
Halcyon

you can stand behind words all you like, show some proof.

everybody has said and provided proof that ram makes no difference if any.

I have said/proved it, justin said/proved it, venom said/proved it.

just because I get up one day and say "I think we are on planet mars" with no proof, doesn't mean we are on planet mars now, does it

Here is a good article on ram speed and its effects.  http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=3589
Venom proved one thing, his GPU is slow.  Smile

they are called facts, words are cheap justin's link has got some more facts/pretty graphs if you like, oh but thats right, you don't believe in facts, you think the world is only as big as your experiences, outside of that nothing counts

if all the sites do test and all show that ram makes no difference, that includes our own members here like justin, venom the DS tech, then its a fact.

if one site showed it didn't make any difference but then 5 other creditable sites showed it did, then I would understand what you are saying, but every creditable site, users, members, techs are showing it makes no difference, then its a fact.

one or two site might have skewed facts, when ever body has the same results, that can't be skewed facts..
