hey guys, I may be joining this family soon, but I'm a bit worried if this config is good. I'm a college student, and play WoW. I'm looking for a upgrade my horrible fps system I have now, and looking to spend about at the max, $1500. I also live Hawaii, and I'm worried about cooling, since the room my computer is in doesn't have any A/C (don't have central air, you folks must think we're primitive, haha) Anyway, here goes.

I'm always abit iffy about over clocking, I guess worried it'll stress out the chips and I have to buy again.

If you dont plan on overclocking then paying for a stage 2 cooler isnt really needed. The stock one should be fine enough for normal operation. Even if you dont have A/C. Then again...i dont know the climate of hawaii, but i know a stock cooler is good enough for arkansas without A/C in the summer.
The enchanced airflow cables is only for your CD/DVD drives, and since you have only one youll be paying for one cable. DS will give you more, but in a nutshell youre paying for only one cable within your computer, ill leave that up to whether its worth that price or not.
Rest looks alright for the budget you want.

The 9600GT is a better value for the dollar than the 8800GT. An overclocked 9600GT will hold it's own vs a stock 8800GT and overclocking the 9600GT is as easy as increasing your PCIe bus speed. Crank the bus speed up 8 to 10%, check stability with ATI Tool, and let 'er rip. No messing with bios hacks, and all you really need Rivatuner for is to increase the fan, possibly not even that if the card's defaults run the fan fast enough.

As others have suggested, your config looks pretty good. I'd drop the case lighting and the round cables and use those dollars to get a bigger hard drive. I'd also think about upgrading the optical drive to include burning. Both upgrades are very cheap compared to the benefit.
