I'm going to be buying a DS rig sometime soon (I'm a repeat customer) but I'm waiting for the next big sale.  I know that there is a back to school sale going on now, but it's been that way for a month and I don't wanna be the guy who buys a computer just to see the same thing for a hundred bucks cheaper the very next week (or at least, that's what the stubborn half of me says, the other half says BUY NOW).

Any idea when the next sale will be based on the past few years?  Labor day perhaps?

Also, any idea on how often DS adjusts prices?  If you couldn't already tell, I'm paranoid of being the guy who buys a PC just before the next 'big thing' comes out and lowers prices across the board (lessons learned from computers past).

From past experience, DS never says in advance when there will be a sale.  Of course, this isn't an official answer so maybe if Alex sees this later he'll respond.
Not selling you anything, but this sale right now is about as good as it gets, again from what I can remember.

Just going to add a +1 to jumping on the current sale.

No we do not get any sort of incentives or commissions from DS LOL

It just is a good sale going on right now.

Agreed.

I "think" the sale may go until Labor day, but after that sir, you won't see another one, until Nov/Dec.

Thanks for the heads up everyone.  I think we've all had a facepalm moment when we bought something that we saw for sale only a week later, I just didn't want to be that guy.  Looks like it's time for me to do my configuration for real (and butter the wife up for when I inevitably go over budget Chilling).

I'd love to buy my ds computer right now if we had the money for it. But i guess i'll have to wait a little while til we can save up enough.
