Call around and ask when shipment day is at the local stores that normally stock Wii's. Ask around what time. See if any of them would be willing to hold one for you, at least for a day. Call ahead before driving out to check if you can't get one reserved. Good Luck.

Nintendo World Store iN NYC is no good unless you want to wait in line for 3 hours in the morning on a delivery day.  I work across the street from the building and have been trying to get one for my sister and her husband.  No luck yet :(

Heh, I got mine from Target Wink Just called them up, found out when the next shipment was, then waited in front of the store for about 2 hours and I got one LOL
