No Hope for a updated Gaming Center app?

Is there ever going to be an updated version of the gaming center app? I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, running the various windows compatibility modes to no avail. The only thing that keeps working is uninstalling the latest update for windows every time there's a new one then blocking it. Even the new build 1909 update causes it to break. You'd think an app that's fairly important to the system would at least be kept up to date and working but that doesn't seem to be the case.
