Hey all! I am a totally new DS customer not so patiently waiting for the Avon my husband got me for Mother’s Day to release. Ordered on 4/22 and estimated ship date is May 17th 😫 I knew the wait time was long so not complaining! Just inpatient. I have never had a really good computer- I currently have a HP notebook with i3 and 8GB ram I upgraded from 4GB 😂 I have to run all games on lowest settings and most newer AAA games won’t run at all. It’s awful. Super excited to have a decent laptop!

Cool.... That very new Avon laptop should be quite a noticeable step-up over your old laptop!   You will have to share some pics with us on the forum when it arrives....

Yes! Stage 6 today! Hoping it’ll ship early next week. I cannot wait to say good riddance to this HP!

I am soooo happy with my Avon! Going from playing games on the lowest of the low graphic settings and still having terrible lag and stuttering to now playing on the ultra high settings smooth with no issues is MIND BLOWING! Sorry I had to compress the images a lot to get them to upload so, they don't look great.

Gonna be honest with you- sound quality is my only issue with the Avon and it’s bad. It’s *so* low. I immediately got an external USB speaker for it and that’s a good enough fix for me but Yeah it’s bad, man.

As to the fix for the built in speakers - Update to most recent windows 10 version 1903, it will automatically install the Sound Blaster Cinema 5 software. Open that up, set to music, on eq put +0 bass, +3 treble. on the SBX pro studio settings, set to surround 40, crystalizer to 50, bass to off, smart volume 0, and dialog+ to 0. there you go much better audio! just make sure to launch the software every restart to enable, then you can completely close it and it will save till next reboot.
