Normal wait times in stage 2?

So, my order (Lumos, i9-10850k, 3070RTX) hit stage 2 on 2/18. And there's been no movement since. I was lead to believe that stage one normally takes the longest, but I have already spent double the amount of time in stage 2 than I did in stage 1.

Just curious on the amount of time most people here see at this stage.

Definitely shouldn't take that long normally. I assume something in your build is missing, since that's the stage where they compile and set aside your parts. Could be that 3070 on your build, could be something else like the power supply. There are all sorts of parts shortages these days.

(Although by now it's weird you haven't been supplied by the inventory waves)

I contacted Alex last week and inquired if I should expect any delays so I could have some notice in order to make arrangements at work around the delivery. He said he was going to speak to someone to have it shipped by Friday of this week.

As it's still in stage 2 as of today...yeah; I don't see that happening unless they throw QC and testing right out the window, which I absolutely do not want. Their QA is why I went with this company to begin with. Just wish they could do something about their communication skills.

@Bandy76, we would never do that, our team won't cut corners on our quality or build process. Your order will ship in the next few days, expect to see some big jumps soon.

We understand communication is important, it's also not an easy task with the scale and scope of what we do with custom builds, however, I assure you that we're working on it and your order is part of my list.

Was just coming back to post an update; I just received email confirmation on stage 3.

Thank you Alex, both for the reassurance of the QA Digital Storm does, and for the time you personally spend addressing customer concerns, including my own. I am very appreciative.

Bandy - I was worried about that too and posted something to that effect in one of the recent threads. I was worried all the vocal complaining about delivery times would cause them to rush on the build process, slap mine together and skip all the important stuff. Turns out it wasn't an issue and mine arrived exactly as ordered and in perfect shape. Hope that helps ease the worry a bit.

Usually most of the parts, not all, our team is trying to work in parallel to be more efficent.

Don’t hold your breath... 2 months just about since I ordered and it only hit stage 2 like a week ago

Wow! Stage 3 on March 15 and delivery on March 20? An earlier Digital Storm email to me showed that stage 3 through stage 7 should take from 14 to 29 business days. But it took only 4 business days for you! There is hope!!

I look forward to your review after you get it set up.

I ordered my Pc mid December and stage 2 didn't finish until February 19th. Stage 3 came on March 2nd, and Stage 4 came March 24th. I ordered my PC with an Asus Rtx 3080 and an I9-10900k so I believe our PC's are having the same type of delay. It's just frustrating how it takes this long to build a PC and there's barely any communication from them.

Oh and also they sent me an email on January 20th saying my PC was expected to ARRIVE early to mid February. They also stated that my build was an urgent priority. I don't think my build is really a priority if they take more than 3 months to build my PC when they have all the parts ready.

Then communicate with them... email the head of customer service today. [email protected]. Get on the ball and get answers. That's what he does, he provides answers not just corporate boilerplate responses. Alex (and [email protected]) are two of the most customer satisfaction driven individuals that I know of in this industry or any other. Along with the technical guru ([email protected]) they will make certain that you never regret going through Digital Storm.

Just my 2¢.....

I ordered mine on Feb 2nd (Lynx, i9-10850, 3060ti) still in Phase 1. I expected delays due to graphics card shortage and the Quality control process DS has. Hope to get it soon. Worth the wait though..

I ordered mine on 3/12 and (obviously) I'm still in Stage 1. Just for fun, I went back to the last time I ordered a PC from DS almost 6 years ago and checked the Stage times - going from Stage 1 to Stage 2 took TWO WHOLE DAYS ZOMG lol.

No worries, I know it's going to take a long time - I can wait, and I have plenty of older games to finish that still run great on my current DS machine. Besides, checking my email 30 times a day in the hopes I see an email from DS helps make the process go faster...right?

My stage 2 took the longest of two months from stage one Dec14th to Feb14th. backorders then Stage Three Feb 15th  smh..
