I have built my own systems for years.  I have friends that ask me to help them do the same.  Just recently I had a bud from out of state ask for help.
 
Dell had offered him a "deal" through his wife's employer.  Basically that deal was last years XPS model for $1,839 -- Moniter not included....
 
What kind of a friend would I be if I didn't show him the light :)
 
 
Any way, I found DS through reading Maximum PC and looking up the advertisers from the magizine by thier ratings on reseller ratings web site.
 
DS was the best rated company, so I checked out the site.
 
In the end, my bud ordered a PC that would cost nearly $1,900.00 if bought piece by piece form Newegg...
 
The cost for him was just under $2,100.00 from DS...
 
I was speechless!  That is such an incredible deal.  I have seen people complain about the pricing here...  I just don't see it.
 
I am gonna have my bud post a review when he recieves his machine in a few weeks.
 
Ermm Rock on Digital Storm!
 
Makes me want to rethink building my own...  ALMOST Embarrassed

I built quite a few of my own systems for many years, as well. I'm now a convert. I just ordered one from DS (stage 6 now). Like you, I looked at the price difference between building and having them build it, and it was fair enough that I saved myself the trouble of building and testing it. I trust DS to do a good job.

BTW, I saw them in Maximum PC first and then checked - Outside Link Removed -, just like you did. Great minds must think alike! Cool
