Not that I'm complaining, but I just ordered my new Krypton laptop this morning and it's already at stage 5.... 5 hours after business hours begin. I read some reviews prior to ordering and figured it would take a week to reach stage 5. I started with the Step 1 but then upgraded several things, I think it came out closer to a Step 3 Krypton when I was done. I didn't order anything expedited either. I'm happy its going quickly, I was just hoping someone could reassure me that the speed of the process wasn't due to my new computer being haphazardly slapped together......

Anyone?

When I placed my Krypton order back in April—the day the new generation Kryptons were released and with no expedited shipping either—it jumped quickly through the early stages and shipped pretty quickly after the later QA stages.  But I've seen reports from some people that their orders processed slower.  I think it depends on what they have building at the time as well as their stock on parts, but couldn't say for sure.

I think I ordered on a Thursday and it shipped by Monday or Tuesday, so not bad, but YMMV.

My understanding is that the laptop stages go a lot quicker than desktop because of less options, little or no wiring and faster to assemble. Plus, I'm sure when they can, they pre-build the most popular configurations for faster service.

Yup the time it took for them to process my order completely from stage 1 - stage 7 was 5 business days. Overall a very satisfying experience

Not complaining either but I am jealous. I ordered my pre built vanquish Monday still have no updates. Only stage 1 payment accepted. :(

If stage 1 payment was accepted Monday or Tuesday, I'd call or email them for a status check.  Should've heard something.   Just check that your spam folder isn't holding the updates.

Ended up. He king my account on the website. It's updated to stage 6 as of yesterday. Should ship monday. So all is good thanks.
