First off I would like to say how the computer will be used, I am not a gamer but I love speed and I like the way gaming computers look as well as I do enjoy bragging rights. I surf, do email, bookeeping, and light photo editing. I figure i don't need the hottest video card, I am using an Nvidia 9400 now and don't even stress it. That said I replace every 3-4 years when the old one just seems like it's to far behind the current technology.
1. What is the silverstone TJ09 chassis? 2. I learned a hard lesson on power supplies this spring and do not wish to go there again. I was thinking I wanted a thermaltake toughpower 775 as they are highly regarded but DS does not give that as an option. What are the DS certified-highly recomended power supplies, can you trust them for longevity? 3. I also think I want an ssd for theC drive just to keep windows and a few often used programs on. I have studied this and for me I think the corsair Force is the best with the sandforce controller, I have also read that the intel x25 is a very good consumer drive. Again DS does not offer the 60 gig force but they do have the 64 gig intel. Any thots or should I just go with a couple normal hard drives in raid. Speed is important to me but so is security. I do not need anything large as I have a phobia about that dating back to my first computer and it's huge honkin 40 meg hard drive. 4. lastly I want the coolermaster storm sniper case shoul I go with the stock fans, go with the led performance option, or the zalman option. Noise is an issue as the cpu's left side is 20 inches from my head and at the same level. Thanks for any input anyone might have. ![]() |

1 the hailstorm case, found only under special ops
2 they are technps, a common OEM seller, rated just fine. if quality concerns your the corsair is not much more, and it is equally reccomended to the tt
3 is there a question? id go with intel personally, wont make too much difference either way
4 it depends on how much of an issue noise is, the stock fans are fine, LED and zalman will be noisy. but you can get quieter fans put in the case depending on your budget / noise level tolerance
