Nvidia 306 driver problems

Just courious if any one is having problems with this driver? It's completely tanking my windows when I install it. Get about 30 second of use then it bogs down windows so much there is about 30 second to a minute between mouse clicks. I have tried an install 3 times and always the same. Have to restore to previous point.

As I write this it occurs to me that I might try drive sweeper then install. Need to get legacy driver just in case.

I'm an idiot its driver 306. Tried drive sweeper and still get the same result.

It's working fine for me. I've installed it on a couple different machines. I have read reports of issues with different games and/or different games but it happens.
 
I think, as long as you do a custom install with the "clean install" box checked in the NVidia install, the old way of doing an uninstall, driver sweep in safe mode, then install is probably not necessary. Doesn't hurt but NVidia made it easier. I still uninstall it first but no longer clean up remnants anymore.
 
I think you should just rollback to the last good driver and wait till the next release and see what happens. I'm almost to the mindset of "if it isn't broke, don't mess with it" with respect to driver updates anymore unless I'm in the mood to read all the release notes.

Yea i figured i would just wait for the next one and hope its not an on going thing.

I tried a clean install with out drive sweeper before and it gave me all kind of errors. Bad deal.

It is working fine on 3 of my systems. So far at least. I don't use them as much, but keep them up to date.
