Got my new DS Rig yesterday and its a thing of beauty, will post review and Pics soon.  Need to know what Settings to use for my Nvidia control panel?  I used to just use "Balanced"  but now that i have a screaming GTX-480 i am wondering what advanced settings should look like. Thanks Guys

usually best to do as much app controlled as possible, which i think it comes that way, i dont remember
just make sure you are using your screens native res for the best picture quality, and i force vsync off (bottom of the list) everything else can be changed per game on the 2nd tab in that window which is handy if you want something specific in a game

Thanks Ender,  What about the Antialiasing Gamma Correction and Transparency Off or On?  Tecture Filtering Off or On,   I put triple buffering On and Texture filtering to Quality and finally the maximum Pre-Rendered frames is Default to 3 should i change that one?  Thanks again

id leave pretty much anything on app controlled unless you actually have a problem with the way something looks,
i favor performance over quality on any of the options i do change

many of the things are really best battle tested, try playing with the options and playing a few different games to see what you like
i found out that i could actually mess with my nvidia settings and see directly through smoke on MW2, it slowed the FPS down, but made it easy to get some cheap kills haha, i believe it had something to do with texture filtering

point being lots of these things will not be noticible, and lots of them well, you are best off playing around with them until you find settings you like, as everyone prefers different amounts of FPS vs eye candy

Good thread idea!

here is a link, should help.  99.9% of users should not adjust the settings in the control panel IMHO, things like turn v-sync off then turn triple buff on. lol when triple buf is only for when v-sync is on..
