Herm..
and more, but too lazy to copy paste more links
while i was getting excited I started to read a few things and it's spec.
Sounds like it's gonna be another leap in technology which leads thus green team taking first place back. now my concern is , if the red team can't keep up like before, that means they'll keep their cards at good performance for value deal and give up going for the crown. while the green team seeing this advantage keeps their price tag retarded high knowing ati cant keep up and idiots like me would purchase nvidias.
i dont like getting ripped off ! damn these marketing prices !
Or ... on a slight chance do you think Nvidia value their customers and fans and would rather keep their prices reasonable. but seeing how nvidia is green for a reason (and their prices from the past) i doubt it

first off never post anything from softcopidia, cause all they do is copy everybody else.
second all 3 of those are a month or even older. the new news is a bit different. |

some new released specs.
Looks like the GTX 380 will be around 20% faster than a 5870, so for me it is going to come down to how well the 380 overclocks. If the 5890 is a 20% gain over the 5870, and has 1.5Gb RAM, and has the same overclocking potential as the 5870, then thats the route I am going, but if Fermi overclocks well, then that is the route I am going. lol

ah, i'm a bit outdated.
but release date isnt much concern to me, cause its all just a waiting game.
the damn prices concern me, i appreciate nvidias performance but i disagree with their price tags often.
and after the GT200 price drop, and refunding some money back I started to love em again, but that just tells me thats how cheap they've could've done in the first place

Actually, I half-expect Nvidia to pull an ATI and undercut so the 360 would be like 480-550 and the 380 would be like 580-650. They're in a good position to undercut and they'll need to if they want to recoop losses from ATI having such an early lead.

I remember that's what people were saying before GT200 when crappy ATI HD3000 Series were cheap
and before nvidia 9800 series.
i got my 8800 gtx when it was released for about 550 so i suppose that was a fair pricing during that time

the way nvidia prices theirs isnt how much it cost them to produce, they do it more as on since 5870 is @ this price, and gtx360 will be about this much faster or equal we'll put it slightly higher, or since gtx380 is faster we'll add 15%-20% more.
again I like nvidia products just hate their marketing strats

ya and when they release the 300, ati will lower thier prices and then nvidia will lower theirs.
or since they are behind, they might go low price to gain back some of the numbers they lost being late to the game. |

i really hope so.
They lost a bit of popularity when 4800 series came out at half the cost of gt200
