Topic: NVidia Inspector Prgram Posted: 16 Jul 2014 at 8:45am |
After over a week of searching the net for some type of fix for the SLI NVidia problem, I found this video on youtube.
I tweaked the game I wanted to play using the video instructions NVidia Inspector program. I made a tweak to the profile for Skyrim, and the in game load screens still have the blue flashing, but the actual in game play is awesome. You might want to think about this program. Just trying to help. Edited by PcKiller - 16 Jul 2014 at 5:09pm |

Skyrim in-game looks awesome, and Civ 5 in-game is the same way now. Still get the blue flashing n load screens, I think they call that micro stuttering. You can also add Guild Wars 2 to the list of awesome looking in-game. all have been on Full screen too.

I haven't heard too much of any micro stuttering issues with nvidia cards at the moment. I know it was an extremely huge problem with AMD cards for a while... but if there is one, it'll have to be resolved in a driver.
And most micro stuttering happens in game... and you'll notice it, it's literally a stutter in graphics. |

For my global's 99% of the settings are set to application-controlled, FXAA - OFF (it's app controlled), CUDA - All, Power - Adaptive, Multi Display Performance Mode, V-Snyc is set to use the 3d app settings, though really I could turn it off as I have 0 3D monitors... plus I don't use vsync for anything at all. Even in games I turn it off.
Any particular setting you're curious about? |

Well I have come to the fact that it is not microstutter, as this only happens on in game loading screens, nothing else.
It has me puzzled. |

Don't discredit the SLI being the "cause" though. While SLI is a performance increase, it does have several flaws and causes some weird things.
I would bet if you disabled SLI, there's a good chance it wouldn't happen. But who cares about loading screens. SSD's and RAMDDisk make those a laugh now a days. I wouldn't worry, bro. |

Thanks man, I guess I will have to live with it.
I was wondering if I upgrade my monitor from a 60Mhz to a 120Mhz if that might clear it up. |

Sorry I cannot say as I am only running the 780s. Wish you luck. I still love my system as even window mode, the games look awesome. Maybe when I get a new monitor it will fix my problem. But that is a $700 gamble. |

The refresh rate won't fix the issue. It's more program side of the actual application. Buying a 120hz or 144hz monitor will just help eliminate screen tearing in games that you're achieving really high FPS.
Micro-stuttering is something that has to be fixed on the driver side for your GPU. If it's not micro-stuttering, and it's just a game having "issues" with SLI, that is also usually a driver update... or at very least the game publisher/nvidia will release an SLI profile for said game. But yours is only in the loading screen, so I wouldn't worry about it at all. |

LOL so I guess I am SOL. And I have taken to using window mode full screen. Gets rid of it all.
