Nvidia already has plans next week to counter AMD's new Radeon HD4850.
The current 65nm 9800 GTX will be dropping in price to $199. That's not the only thing. If you thought all the stupid G92 variants wasn't annoying enough. Nvidia will release yet another G92 variant on a 55nm process which they will call the 9800 GTX+. The 9800 GTX+ has a core clock of 738MHz and a shader clock of 1836MHz. It will be using GDDR3 memory made from Hynix clocked at 1.2GHz. It will be coming in near the end of July with a price of $229, just in between the Radeon HD4850 and HD4870. source: bit-tech Edited by skyR - 19 Jun 2008 at 12:55pm |
