he means september 1st. The hailstorm is coming out and i'm assuming that sometime in september the p55 motherboards and the new CPUs will be available.

well if its any consolation, with regard to the new motherboard (P55) and the new chips (Lynnfield/Core i5), they are a step down from what is currently available according to my understanding
you're rig is likely faster

Well.. there was something neat about seeing the northbridge go away on the MB. Though other than that, ya, a step down.

Obama brought change..? Looks like the same old bullsh*t with a new face to me.
And for those wondering about the hailstorm case, rumor has it we wont have them in for a week or so. Also, the P55 is in no way a step down. I still can't post anything due to that crappy NDA, but so far, bandwidth is on par with the i7 840 @ 4GHz and the i7 920 @ 4GHz. Raw processing performance is a bit lower but in regards to games will make little difference. Single GTX295 w/ i7 840 @ 4GHz, Vantage scores are comparable to an i7 920 @ 4GHz with a single GTX295.
