First of all here are all the specs for the PC:

Chassis Model: Cooler Master HAF 932
Processor: Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz (Over clocked to 3.74GHz)
Motherboard: EVGA X58 SLI 3 Edition (Model: 131-GT-E767)
System Memory: 6GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Dominator with DHX Extreme Edition (CMP6GX3M3A1600C7)
Power Supply: 1200W Corsair Pro Gold Series (CMPSU-1200AX)
Hard Drive 1: 1x (80GB Solid State (By: Intel) (Model: X25-M MLC Edition) (OS boot drive)
Hard Drive 2: 1x (1TB Western Digital Caviar (7200 RPM) (64MB Cache) (Model: Black Edition WD1002FAEX)
Optical Drive 1: Blu-Ray Player/DVD Player (Play Blu-Ray and Play DVDs)
Optical Drive 2: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x)
Video Card(s): 2x SLI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB (EVGA Black Ops Edition 015-P3-1583-AR)

Monitors: 3x 23.6" Acer GD235HZ 120Hz LCD Monitors (3D Ready) (Not purchased through Digital Storm)

The purchase experience was very easy with Digital Storm. Every step was detailed to me and I was always updated with the most current stage of production. Here is a timeline of that process:

Nov. 4th 2010 - Stage 1

Nov. 8th 2010 - Stage 2

Nov. 10th 2010 - Stage 3

Nov. 11th 2010 - Stage 4

Nov. 11th 2010 - Stage 5

Nov. 23rd 2010 - Stage 6

Nov. 23rd 2010 - Stage 7

Dec. 1st - Received PC from FedEx

Keep in mind that two variables effected my timeline and a month for assembly and delivery would not be typical.

1. I live in Canada and there are several extra steps for international customers that delayed my build. Please see my post on tips for customers living in Canada.

2. I changed the configuration at Stage 3 to include the new GTX 580 video cards (originally had the GTX 480's selected).

Now onto my initial impression. I found that the PC itself was very well packaged for shipping. It appeared as though a lot of care was taken to ensure its safe arrival at my door step. The first thing I did was open the side panel and confirm that all the components I ordered were in fact installed. Upon inspection of the various pieces of hardware I noticed that everything was very nicely wired and nothing looked rushed together. Once this inspection was finished I re-installed the side panel and connected the monitor, keyboard and mouse for the first boot.

Once Windows had finished loading the first thing I did was check the system specs in the control panel. I did find one problem here that has since been fixed with the help of some of the forum users and Digital Storm staff. Not all of my RAM was being recognized by Windows it only showed 3.99 GB usable out of the 6.00 GB installed. A few setting adjustments in the BIOS and all was good.

 

I would give the overall experience with Digital Storm an 8 out of 10. The only things I can say negatively would be the RAM issue and the delayed shipping. But these are very minor compared to the awesome customer service I experienced when contacting Digital Storm, both through e-mail and on the phone. I would highly recommend a Digital Storm PC to anybody looking for a top notch PC built by a very knowledgeable team.

 

This is a very fast machine and the 3 monitors is defiantly very cool. I'm able to run all of my games on their highest settings and I have even tried them in 3D which is super cool. Please look at the pictures and watch the videos and let me know what you think.

Did you select DS's free overclock? If so I'm curious what they got it to with that CPU cooler.

I did select the free over clock. They got it to 3.74GHz. Is that pretty good for free? Its the i7 950.
