yes, Realtemp will read the Intel registries, and locate the factory TJ max setting for your chip, so leave it at what it said originally.

after you enter the changes hit F-10 to save in the BIOS, then run Linx max memory and realtemp again. |

Made the changes, but on the IOH/ICH I/O Votage setting 1.51 was not an option. It was 1.500v and the next one was 1.525v, I chose 1.525v. Screenshots of new readings.

Ok, now two changes, 1. CPU VTT Voltage +.200
2. CPU host frequency 199
If that holds, then we can try lowering a couple voltages to get your temps down, but still stable, then we can work on getting it 24/7 stable, this will put you at 4.2Ghz.

ok, now for the dreaded Prime95 blend test. need to go minimum of 12 hours, I usually go 16-24, but 12 is minimum.
If that passes then
Congrats! your RAM is now running full speed and you chip is OCed as high as DS goes.!!

Justin thank you, and I am grateful for your help and time.
![]() I have never used Prime95. Which version do I download, and are there any parameters I need to change before running the test?

o.O hey I just noticed something. Um, how exactly do you get Intel Turbomode on without enabling Intel Speedstep? I can't get to the Turbomode setting on my BIOS without enabling Speedstep D:

He might be able to lower temps a slight bit with lowering the V core, but something tells me he won't be able to lower it much, a click or 2 tops. lol
ablahblah what MOBO do you have?

because your temps are getting high, i would suggest lowering the B clock to 195, that will get you close to 4.1Ghz, your other option I would not suggest, and that would be to bump the V core up two notches

Ok, will go with your first suggestion, and lower the B clock to 195. Go right to running prime, or run linx after the changes?
