On the 790i mobo I have the crosair dominator 1600.  Which works great and DS sent to me to replace my ocz.  Can i goto 8 gigs with no problems or should I just goto 6 gigs and get only one more stick.

Also my oc to 3.6 failed.  Went well for a while then would not reboot until it reset the bios.  Last time we up the voltage this time They had me keep it on auto.  It did prime95 for one hour with no problems.  But on two restarts it reset.

Call them back let them adjust your OC, with a penryn chip all you need it 4GB of ram, you have nothing to gain from 6 or 8GB of ram, the only reason we tell people to go with 6GB of ram with the i7, is because the i7 moves in 3GB increments
