Well,  it's been a week since i7 came out and I was just wondering what average OC speeds DS was acheving with the 920 and 940 chips?  I have read that LC your chip will acheive better OC, but how much difference would you see between LC and air say stage 2 or 3?

we still have not seen any i7 system but Alex said with liquid cooling they have gotten to 3.5GHz with the lower end CPU and 4.0GHz and higher with the extreme version, but like I said we are still waiting for users to get their systems and give us their specs/review

we need to give it a couple more weeks to see a bunch of people so we get a good number of people in

Thanks for the quick reply.   I can't wait to see what the i7 will go to.  I've read that it is very OC friendly.  I was considering the cheaper 920 chip to keep budget down, but was wanting to get somewhere in the 3.5 or higher range. Didn't know how high the 920 would go or if I would have to consider the 940.

lol well its killing me too but if we want to see how other's systems are first then we must wait, lets see what the 920 does, we need to see a few chips to get a good idea, otherwise each chip is different, we have had q9550 with air at 3.2 and we have had it on air at 3.8, every chip is different so we need to see a few 920, 940 and 965 before we can get a good idea what the average speeds are.

which means we have to wait
