I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on why DS does'nt offer any of the factory over-clocked video cards with their systems(are there cooling issues w/ these cards maybe). Or is it possible to have DS OC the card for me.
Thanks

I don't know about graphics cards, but DS will overclock cpu's if you mention it in the comment box as you make your order. Overclocking a grphics card doesn't usually give much of a boost according to what I have read on this forum.

We currently offer the overclocked ACS3 cards on the website as of yesterday.

Thanks for the reply, that's just what I was looking for.
Looking at the benchmarks out there I would benefit more from faster clock speeds than more memory.

I see it's only the 8800GTX, will we see a 8800GTS version?

there isn't one, and if there is, what's the point?  Buy a GTX.

The reason is price Ouch, the eVGA 8800GTS ACS3 320MB is less expensive than a 8800GTS 640MB and runs most games faster. My main point was I'll get more bang for the buck with the faster clocking than with the 700+MB of memory the GTX brings with it. And the GTX is out of my range Cry.

Call us, for a special fee, $35, we will overclock your video cards. We can edit the BIOS on the cards, and pump some more juice into them.
