Just happened to notice on the configuration page...that there are two versions of 120GB OCZ SSD's. (1) "Solid State Series" (2) "Vertex Series"--which happens to be $161 more. What's the difference--other than cost... Edited by Zardoz8719 - 28 Jun 2009 at 9:15am |

Well, a little research pointed out...that the lower cost "red" colored one is considered the cost-conscious/budget minded version...while, the $161 (more) "black" colored model isn't |

With SSDs that are MLC right now, what you want to look for is wear and tear and speed.
the vertex has the best wear and tear and the best speed. the solid series is slower then Veloci |

Kinda figured that would be it... Mostly, I wanted to point out that there are TWO versions on the configuration with different costs. The only reason I noticed it...was that I was doing a configuration (for the fun of it...) with SSD's for HDD one & two...and noticed the model numbers didn't match. Of course, I'm probably the only one who didn't notice this from the very beginning
