ODE : Amazing: My DS Computer Review

Okay, so I am working on getting pictures, but until then all I have is the text.

I ordered a Digital Storm ODE Level 3, two and a half weeks before Halloween, and it arrived the exact day of Halloween, in what I believe was a span of 10 business days. I would have expected it to be quicker, but I learned it was slow due to a shortage of 570s. It came in a MASSIVE box, and was packed tight with foam and other packaging. This gave me confidence that I was getting a hardcore system. :) In the box was my binder, which came with all of my manuals and discs, although I didn't have to use them, as well as some computer guts.

Setup was a breeze. I plugged in my DVI cord to my 1920x1080 ASUS monitor, flicked the switch on the back of the case and then hit the button on the top of the chassis. Immediately it booted up, very quickly, I might add, and I began installing everything. Now I have Crysis 2, Deus Ex:HR, SC2, TF2, and now Skyrim (installing as I type) loaded up and they all run flawlessly. I cranked it up on Crysis 2: DX11 patch, full ultra settings and 60 FPS all day. Never dips. Not in multiplayer, not in singleplayer. SC2: Extreme graphics on, still never dips below 60. I cannot wait to get my hands on Skyrim and enjoy it in all of its splendor. This thing also runs smoothly 24/7, and has never crashed in the 4 weeks I've had it, and hopefully it won't later. Its VCore is at 1.36-1.38 with a 4.5 overclock, and from what I've heard, that's good. :D

So, in summary this is how I break it down:

Processing/Ordering/Shipping: 10/10. DS was contacting me throughout the process and was constantly updating me on the PC's status. It shipped quickly (although that's what happens when you live in the Bay Area) and was not damaged in any way.

Performance: 9/10. This thing is a beast. It tears up anything I throw at it without breaking a sweat. The only reason it doesn't get a 10 is because I am not sure about future performance.

Overall DS has been great, and I love my new system. It is a performance beast and works great. It also has pretty lights. I can't wait to keep using it, and I hope to order here again.

and yes below 1.4 vcore means your cpu will out live your pc itself with 24/7 use, so great oc and vcore

It's already torture waiting for my system to get finished but reading this review reminded me of something that's going to be even worse. Getting my rig and having to wait for everything to download. WoW takes like an entire day.

@Dranzogger, non of your pics work cause the address does not have the .com in them and you are posting the address to the page the image is in and not the image itself, you need to post the image address, which normally ends with .jpg, or .png or something like that.

Very nice, for reference your CPU is under the DS logo you took a pic of inside the case. That logo is printed on the liquid cooler that is sitting on top of your CPU. The MOBO is what everything is attached to inside there.

The ODE 3 uses the Sabertooth MOBOs and the Sabertooth boards have a black heat-sink that covers the entire face of the MOBO so you can't see all the stuff you would normally see. With those boards all you can see is the connections for all your hardware.

Not at all. I just have a fixation with big boxes. I need to have them, but when I have one I don't know what to do with it. All I know is that large packaging containers are epic.

True, but, since the side panel is a window, it should not matter.
