Ode Level 3 Power Supply

The power supply used in the ODE-3 is adequate for its intended purpose. It is not as good as the HF or HA series from Corsair which have longer warranties and are more efficient. The ODE-3 power supply works with the 570 series GPU but not a good choice for the 580 GPU. We don't know the power requirements for future GPUs and that will effect what upgrades you could make. The trend has been to reduce GPU power requirements since the 4xx series of GPUs.

The ODE-3 is a best buy computer and it has compromises in some equipment. These compromises doesn't reduce its ability to play todays games that the computer is intended for. Changing out a PS is not a hard job. You just need to be organized and take your time. If all else fails you can take the computer to a local computer store and they can change the PS for you. Or you can return it to DS. Lots of options so I would not be worried about the PS supplied with the ODE-3.

DS warrants the ODE-3 PS for 5 years so they have confidence in it.

The other option would be to have DS change to the 1050HX for example if it is a problem.. DS will change parts but charge for it because it's a pre-built.   The problem here is the extra cost of $134 for psu and $50 for any change to ODE, almost the cost of a brand new 1050HX from Newegg.
