I'm contemplating on purchasing the ODE level 3. I live in Canada and there is going to be a huge premium on the 2399 price tag with the shipping and tax. I just want to know exactly if the ODE really worth it? And if one day I would like to upgrade my GPU's and CPU's would i lose all the overclocked settings in my BIOS. I really need some advice. I want to make sure this system will last me for quite some time and for future gaming. I bought a desktop system not long ago around last year this time. It is not so bad but I am extremely not familiar with overclocking. But it seems that its not running most of the games i want to play with absolute ease. I just want to know if I should just upgrade my existing PC desktop or opt for the ODE level 3 knowing that it will blow the one i built last year out of the water.

what resolution is your monitor? To be honest though your current pc should be just fine. If anything maybe wait for the next gen of ati cards and replace your current one since the 850watt PSU is a bit close for sli(crossfire) imo but digital storm does it just fine with the ode 3. Another option is to find another 5870 and do crossfire. What games are you playing that it can no longer play?

Im playing right now with a 24inch Samsung 1920x1200. I dont know what the problem is really it could well be my cpu bottle necking my system. I get 7.8 on everything except a 7.5 for ram and 7.5. Most games I play like SC2 BF3 beta I see lower frame rates using max settings. I mean when i built the computer last year I was hoping i wouldnt need to do anything to it and i would be able to play games on it with max settings for years to come. Also it seems really hard to find a 5870 to crossfire nowadays and Im not even sure if my MOBO will support it cuz it seems it my not fit

bf3 is really the first game in a long time to put some serious stress on a system. Nothing wrong with your comp in that case it just requires more power than you have to max it out. I bet it would still look good and play much better on medium. As far as SC2 goes the game does have some dependence on the processor but yours is fine(you may see 5 or so fps going to a 3+ ghz proc or ocing), again when this game gets really going your probably going to have to turn down a few things to make it playable. edit- did some more poking around at ultra settings with no AA for sc2 you should still be playable with little to no lag(mid 40-50 fps).
