How long does it typically take to process an order? I placed my order for my new pc yesterday and was curious on how long it takes for my order to finish order processing?

Welcome to the forums and the DS Family 3dabestna.   

Our guy on the inside, Alex, has mentioned that they are currently experiencing the "Back to School" rush and are pretty much working on a full schedule right now. He also says that they are doing their best to get every machine out during the the mentioned time frames of 10 - 15 business days.

So, in my guestimation, and not counting weekends or the upcoming holiday, I would think the best guesses would be a new machine in your home around a month after ordering. If you ordered on Monday the 26th then Sept 26th would be a good target date.

Sooner is always better, of course, and this is just a guess. If you think it is taking too long to get your machine feel free to contact Alex directly at [email protected].

Again, welcome to the family of DS owners.

Thank you Snaike and okay im not in a rush with it because I know that digital will do their very best with my order. I'd rather them take their time to get it done right. I build computers all the time and I know the process. I just didnt know how their processing works. Again thank you for welcoming me!

How'd you do that? I ordered mine on August 25 with expedited build and was then denied the expedite ("backlog too large") and then had to reconfigure the box because their forms allowed too many peripherals. Order finalized (money paid) on the 27th. I'm still sitting in Stage 1 almost two weeks later.

To be honest, at this point had I known this was how it would be, I would have ordered elsewhere. This is a computer for work, not play, and every day waiting for it means less revenue for me.

Everything I read about DS said that delivery is usually in a couple of weeks. At this point, if I don't have the system by next week, I'll either miss an important deadline or work a sh*t ton of extra hours trying to make it happen with the not-up-to-task system I have now.

In case no one can tell, I'm really annoyed at the total lack of communication from DS.

Have you tried contacting them?

If you ordered on the 25th you should reasonably expect the machine on the 25th. A good rule of thumb with any builder is one month. If you wanted a machine to use right off the shelf, then perhaps a trip to Best Buy or another store would have been in order.

This is the busiest time of the year and DS still says they will ship your machine within 10-15 business days from order. You ordered 8/25 so your 15th business day is the 16th of Sept. Add 5 business days for shipping and you're looking at the 23rd.

More than once. I either get boilerplate responses or nothing at all.

The last custom system I bought, which was 6-7 years ago, took two weeks to build AND deliver. That was from CyberPower. I would have gone there again, but DS gets high ratings and seemed to have a better configurator.

I would have considered off the shelf too, as I did with the notebook that replaced that CP box. But I've found myself doing video processing and that requires more than my portable is really capable of, long-term. Off-shelf systems aren't really set up for what I need.

Has it progressed beyond Stage 5 yet? Shortly after complaining in the forums here and sending yet another "where is my computer?" email, mine progressed from Stage 1 to Stage 5 in about three days. Now it's been on Stage 5 for two weeks.

Yes actually my computer went to stage 6 yesterday
