Same rant this time ready to do something with it. I have a gigabyte micro atx board.
A E5200 chip..I'm ready to throw both down the toilet.

The board won't let my soundblaster audigy 2 zs mount properly so I spend all eternity constantly rebooting till it triggers right.  The onboard audio is horrible for the mb.

What I need is a suggestions for a new full size mb/chip combo that will let me play my fps, wow, and other games. I know my soundcard mounts proper like in a full size mb.  I have a full size tower already.  I'll be putting in a 800watt ps as well when i redo this system.

If I can I would like a set up that will let me keep my DDR2 800 ram since this is less then 6 months old.  I alsy have a 260 video card i will be keeping, and the sound card as well.

I don't have to break the bank with this computer as I am hoping to get my DS system ordered in January.  However I still need it to last awhile since I sometimes run a 2nd acoc**t(i used to beable to run 2 accounts off my amd chip, this one wont do that i'm afraid)

By the way the fps I play are Fear series, Bioshock, going to start on LFD soon enough and Crysis.

Thank you all for your help,

Ok ended up with a full size ATX MB by Asus , and a quad core amd x 2 955 be chip.  Was $230 bucks and with new memory ended up being $400 for rapid shipment. Hopefully this will last me till Jan/Feb and can get the DS system when nvidia releases thier video cards...

So total tally on this "temporary system" now has reached just under 1k  /sigh. Wink
