Canon Powershot SX120 IS. It's all I need for vaca and family/ friends.
Did ya give up on DSLR ?

an experienced person told me that once i get it, chances are i won't lug it around as much as i "expect" i would. and I am "thinking" about that possiblity rite now lol

I agree with experienced person.
There's nothing like SLr, but it does get old and for some becomes more of a chore than fun. I used to spend more time on vacation taking pics then sitting back and enjoying all around. Others fall in love with it. Tough call.

darbedo...Just saw an article about the Canon G1X and thought of you. Check it out. Looks like the closest to DSLR without the size, but a little pricey at $799.
