So im about to order my rig with 500g harddrive and was wondering if there was an advantage getting two harddrives (250g a piece) then just the one. This would be without Raid 0. Thank you.

Even if you are not putting them in raid 0, they will operate faster than a single big drive because 2 heads are better than one.
You can also protect yourself against software failure, dying hdd, viruses, etc. You can use your second drive as storage and images. So if one drive has a boo boo, you won't be screwed of your data. |

Just one more really dumb question. Say i get one harddrive at 160gb and one at 320gb. Does is matter were i place my harddrives during the build. For example do i put the small one in the Harddrive 1 slot and the larger in Harddrive 2 slot or vice versa or does it really not matter. Sorry about the dumb question.
